Safari User Guide
In the Safari app on your Mac, use General preferences to choose the page that appears when you open a new window or tab, to choose how to handle downloads, and more. To change these preferences, choose Safari > Preferences, then click General.

Hi, i've bought a new macbook pro and its just arrived today. I am having problem downloading, saving, or accessing downloads for ANYTHING. Finder Downloads 'The folder can't be opened because you don't have permission to see its contents.' You can change a number of settings to customize the Finder itself on your MacBook.
